A busy week!

We brought Zachary home on Saturday, March 13th, and it has been a busy week! I have been meaning to post some pictures on here and just haven't found the time. Here are just a few pictures of Zachary's first few days in the world! I promise to do a more detailed post at another time about all the crazy things that happened while I was being induced! (I'll also include more pictures next time!!)

Furry Big Sisters

I am now 40 weeks and 6 days pregnant and my induction date is approaching quickly! I will be on my way to the hospital on Tuesday morning! I can't even believe it!

Joey and I are so excited to meet our little man and we can't wait for Baby Edmisten to meet his "big sisters" Molly and Calli. They are such a part of our family and we are looking forward to the day that our human kid can give hugs to our furry kids.

I am always amazed and SO thankful at how wonderful they are around children. Our nephew Samuel adores them and asks for them often. He even named his favorite stuffed animal puppy "Molly." He can hug them, kiss them, and pet them and they just sit there and let him. Calli is known to attack.........but only with kisses.

These girls are DEFINITELY ready to be Furry Big Sisters and Joey and I couldn't be happier!

PS- They are both mutts and were both rescued and we wouldn't have it any other way! Molly came from the OC Animal Shelter and Calli was saved on her last day at a shelter by Coastal German Shepherd Rescue. www.coastalgsr.org

Where are you Baby Edmisten??

So my due date has come and gone, and as of today I am 3 days over due! I went to my weekly Doctor's appointment yesterday and I am progressing, but slowly! (I'm not even 2 cm dialated yet!)

At this point my Dr. asked us, "What do you guys want to do?" Joey and I decided that we needed to schedule an induction date, just to be safe.

SO......I will be induced next Tuesday, March 9th! (That is if he doesn't arrive before then!) I would much rather him decide to join us on his own, but at least I now know the absolute latest he could arrive. I will be going to a Fetal Monitoring appointment tomorrow to make sure he is good to go!

Please keep us in your thoughts as Joey and I get ready to welcome Baby Edmisten to the world! I promise his name will be revealed as soon as he arrives!!

My Due Date is Here!!

Here it is!! I can't believe that today is March 1st! I have made it to my due date.....but still no baby!

A lot of people thought he would arrive early because for awhile he was measuring big, but as of my last 3 appointments, he is measuring right on track, so there is a chance I will have an average sized kid! Hooray! (I even lost weight at my last appointment! That was a surprise to me!)

Joey has been encouraging me to stay active. We have been busy unpacking at our new place (Yep! We moved!), running errands, and going for walks to try and get this baby moving.

Joey and I are excited and anxious to meet the newest addition to our family and when Baby Edmisten arrives, we will be sure to keep you updated!
