Family Trip (Part Three): Boston, MA

We took a rode trip while we were back East and drove to Boston!

The Padres were in town, so we took in a game at Fenway Park.

We took a Duck Boat tour, ate chowder (chow-dah), and enjoyed the city.

I've been to Boston before, but I would've loved to have stayed a little longer.

I can't wait to go back!

 The gorgeous Boston Harbor!

Zachary was well behaved as we took him sight-seeing all over the place!

Zachary was AMAZING at the Rod Sox/Padres game!
We stayed almost the whole game!

Fenway Park was an experience any baseball fan would appreciate!

 The Green Monster
Zachary took some time out from watching the game to relax.

I love this sweet little face.

We walked around Fenway and enjoyed seeing what a unique ballpark it is.

The next day we took a Duck Boat on a street/water tour of the city.
It started to rain and we got chilly pretty fast!

Zachary slept almost the whole time.

Thank goodness for the ponchos the tour gave us!
Zachary shared the poncho with Joey and just poked out of the arm hole!

Look alike?

People tell both Joey and I, "Zachary looks JUST like you!"

I'd say people are split down the middle about who he looks like more.

My mom thinks we look a lot like each other in these pictures.

Tracy's Favorite Things.....ON SALE!!

A few of my favorite things are on sale RIGHT NOW at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I wanted to spread the word!

I blogged about Philosophy's Purity Made Simple face wash a little over a year ago!  It is a tradition of mine to buy a jumbo sized bottle at the Nordstrom sale because it is a great deal and lasts all year!  This year they are selling the 32oz. bottle with a package of Purity cleansing cloths.

I also blogged about the Clarisonic face cleansing brush right after Christmas.  I am obsessed with this!  Nordstrom is offering a few different packages for the sale and there is even one for men now!!

Although I haven't blogged about it to make it one of my favorite things officially, I REALLY love my Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag!  I bought mine at the sale two summers ago.  They are about $75 less at the sale!  (They offer only 3 styles for the sale, but they are really cute!!)

You can order these from Nordstrom.com or just head into the store and hope they are all still in stock!

Here are the direct links for you to the sale pages:

Family Trip (Part Two): Fun in the City

We are blessed to be able to stay with Joey's Godmother (and his Mom's Aunt) Janet, and her daughter Kathy every time we visit NY!  We take over the basement and are always well fed and well taken care of when we visit.  They live in Pelham, NY which is a great suburb of the city.  It's super easy to take the train into Grand Central station and visit the Big Apple!

We went into the city a few times while we were there, but here are just a few highlights:

 Riding on the subway
(He had a cold for the first few days and was such a trooper!!)

 Lunch in Little Italy

Getting a cannoli put him in a GREAT mood!

 City Hall

Now a subway ride with Mommy!

 Times Square
(One of my favorite places!)

Hanging out in Times Square with Sam and Uncle Brian

We rode the ferris wheel inside Toys R Us!

We almost got a My Little Pony Car.......

Checking out the T-Rex at the Museum of Natural History

He waved at everyone in the elevators!

 Ooooh.....a fake bear!

Central Park

We did not do all of this in one day!!!
(It was actually two days, but not in a row!)

Family Trip (Part One) - Angels vs. Mets

Joey, Zachary, and I ventured to New York (and Boston and the Denver, CO area) for 2 weeks at the end of June.  We had  a fun, exciting, and BUSY trip!  We did so much that I just must break the trip down into a few posts.

***If you read my last post titled "Advice Please", we did survive 3 plane rides with Zachary and DID end up using the car seat on 2 of the 3 flights.  It was great on the red eye because we could sleep without worrying about holding him or having him fall on the floor.  Overall, we were impressed with Zachary's behavior on the plane.....now if only they could make the changing table thingy in the airplane bathrooms a little bigger!***

We arrived on a Saturday and went to two Angels vs. Mets games that first weekend.  My brother joined us for the first few days of our trip because he has liked the Mets since he was a kid.  He was proudly sporting his Mets gear and of course, we sported our Angels red!  It's always fun to see our team play on the road.  (We have previously traveled to see them play the Yankees in NY, the Diamondbacks in AZ, and the Giants in San Fran)  The Mets' new ballpark, Citi Field, is a great place to see a game!  Here are a few pictures of our fun that weekend!

 LET'S GO ANGELS!

My bro sliding into the location of Shea Stadium's Home Plate.......
it's now a marker in the parking lot!

Waiting to meet Mr. Met, and holding Matthew's beer!

Brian (Joey's Brother), Bob (My Brother), Mr. Met (Super cute mascot!!), Me, and Joey

Matthew, Joey's cousin, made it into this one!
Just me and the guys!

Sunday afternoon at Citi Field

New York Trip (Part Two) Coming Soon........
