Baby Update!

Joey and I are enjoying our time off of work and had a wonderful Christmas with our families! We can't believe that next Christmas our little guy will be here with us to celebrate the holidays!

Last Monday we went in for another ultrasound. My belly has been measuring big at my last few appointments, so my doctor wanted to see how big baby is. (This is making me a bit nervous because Joey was over 9 pounds when he was born!!) I don't have gestational diabetes, so the doctor thinks he may just be a big boy. (We will find out more at our next appointment) It was nice to see baby again and this time he was cooperating and the tech got a great picture of his little face, big cheeks and all!

Here's another belly picture of me at 7 1/2 months! I am feeling really good and as of today, I have 9 weeks to go!

Tracy's Favorite Things

I know it is almost Christmas, and I should've posted this much earlier for all of you that do any online shopping, but this website can help you out all year long with some good coupon codes and cash back on stuff you buy!

My next favorite thing is: www. MrRebates.com!! I found out about this website 2 Christmas's ago and haven't stopped using it since! All you need to do is sign up (for FREE) and whenever you are about to shop online, you go to Mr Rebates and then click on the website you want to buy from. After you make your purchase, the website tells Mr Rebates how much you spent and you get a percentage back on that purchase. MrRebates never gets your credit card info, only the amount you spent.

Everytime I want to buy something online, I always check to see if that website is on MrRebates first. Most of the time it is! Once you accrue $10 or more in rebates, they mail you a check! I promise it isn't a scam! I have been using this website for 2 years and it's legit!
Here's the link if you are interested:
Some of the stores I often shop from through MrRebates are:
Sephora.com
1800Flowers.com
QVC.com
BabiesRUs.com
Apple iTunes
HAPPY SHOPPING!!

Finally! A Baby Bump Picture!

I will admit that I have not been very good at getting pictures taken of me and my growing belly. It's not for any particular reason, but more because I just forget!

Two weeks ago, Joey and I traveled to Tucson, AZ to attend the wedding of a long time family friend of Joey's family. We took a picture after the ceremony that shows my growing baby bump, so I figured I would post it since I haven't posted any on here so far!

Tracy's Favorite Things and GOOD NEWS!

Once again, it has been way too long since I have updated this blog! The good news is that it's for a good reason! I was rehired 2 weeks ago at my school on a 50% contract! I work 2 or 3 days a week, depending on the week, and I couldn't be happier.

I am now sharing an Intervention position with one other person. I'll be working with students who are struggling as well as working closely with grade level teams and my principal. This position is REALLY going to be learning experience and will look wonderful on my resume! (I say that because once again, I am considered a temporary teacher, and will most likely be laid off again at the end of this school year.) At this point I am happy and very appreciative of this position and the fact that it is part time will be wonderful once baby comes and I have to return to work!

I would also like to share another one of my favorite things with all of you! I have been thinking of sharing this with you all for awhile, but with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, I saved this item just for this time of year!

If you are looking for a tasty and healthy gift to give this season, you MUST check out the Harry and David Royal Riviera Pears! I promise you, these are the best pears on the face of this Earth! They are AMAZING! You will not find a pear that is more tasty or juicy than these!

Here is the link if you would like to order them: www.HarryandDavid.com. Order one box as a gift and order one for yourself! You will not be sorry! (If you plan on ordering, use the code GIVE when you check out and get free delivery!!)

If any of you order these, please let me know what you think! I would love to hear if you loves my favorite things as much as I do!!

The Nursery is Coming Along!!

Joey and I are so excited that Baby Edmisten's room is progressing nicely. Joey and I painted the room 3 weeks ago. (Don't worry, we used the environmentally friendly paint, so I could help!)

We don't have the bedding yet, but I wanted to post some pictures of the room so far! We are thrilled with the quality of the furniture and would highly suggest checking out the store USA Baby if you are ever in need of nursery furniture!

Two weeks ago we got to pick up our furniture! We were lucky enough to have Joey's cousin Craig help us out by doing some heavy lifting as well as letting us use his truck! We treated Craig to dinner that night and even though it was late, Joey just HAD to get the crib put together!

It was done within an hour and half and it looks amazing! He looked like such a proud Dad putting the crib together! (Of course Calli kept trying to sneak upstairs and help! She is so excited to be a big sister!)

Here are the dressers too! The short one will act as our changing table. (Don't worry.....the phone will not be in the room once baby comes along!)

Tracy's Favorite Things

I can't believe it is already mid-October! I was hoping to post this a few weeks ago, but never got around to it!

My next favorite thing is a beauty product that I have been using for about 4 years. My wonderful friend and sorority sister Brooke introduced me to it, and my eyelids have rarely gone without it!

I absolutely LOVE the Mary Kay Eye Primer!

I only put a little bit (smaller than a pea-sized amount) on the back of my hand and spread it on each eyelid before I put on my eye shadow. My eyeshadow always goes on much smoother and stays fresh looking all day!

Each tube is $12 each and I usually only need to buy a tube once every 6 months! The only place to buy the Mary Kay Eye Primer is through someone who sells Mary Kay.

If you don't happen to know someone who sells Mary Kay, please feel free to visit my friend Kendal's Mary Kay website. Here is a direct link to the Eye Primer page: http://www.marykay.com/kendalnoble/color/eyes/10016960/10016960/default.aspx

Hopefully you buy this product and enjoy it as much as I do!

It's a ................

On Monday, Joey and I went to see our little baby on an ultrasound. We were very excited, but we were also extremely nervous.

Right away, the tech said, "Do you want to know what it is?" And we both knew, if she saw something that fast, it must be a boy, and we were right! As you can see below, I DEFINITELY have a little boy in my tummy!

She was the same tech who did our 20 week ultrasound with Hannah and we reminded her about what happened last time. She spent a lot of time showing us his head, neck, and spine. Check out his awesome, healthy spine and neck!!

He was moving a lot, but was being VERY shy! Although the tech tried and tried, she couldn't get a profile shot because he kept turning away from the ultrasound and showing us his back! He kept putting his hand on his head. Here he is with his hand on his head:

Joey and I are so excited to meet our little man and we were happy to see that he looks healthy. He already has about 5 Angels outfits to wear next season and he will be there next April for his first Angels Opening day!

Tracy's Favorite Things

With the school year starting, I decided that my next favorite thing should be related to learning.

I think that EVERY kid needs to have "The Letter Factory" DVD (By Leapfrog) before they start school! No child should go to school without seeing this DVD about 100 times! It teaches letter names and sounds and does it in a cute way.

They have recently changed the DVD cover, but the actual movie is still the same. Below is the old and new covers so you can look for them!

I used this DVD in my Kindergarten classroom for the past 2 years and it made such a difference for students struggling students who had a difficult time learning their letter names and sounds. I kept wishing their parents had shown them this when they were 3 or 4!

I bought mine at Target for $9.99. I have recently seen it at Costco a few times for only $5.99! Leapfrog also makes DVDs that help with numbers and sounding out words.

I have already given this DVD to a friend's son as part of his birthday gift and I am planning on giving this to all of my friends' kids for their birthdays!!

Nursery Furniture and School

Yesterday, Joey and I, (along with help from Grandma Bintliff and Grandma Edmisten) picked out, and ordered our nursery furniture for little baby Edmisten! We went to USABaby in Riverside. They had a great selection of nice quality furniture. We are so excited about what we picked and Joey and is looking forward to painting the room! We chose the Bonavita Metro Collection. We are getting the crib, tall dresser, and 6 drawer dresser (that is not pictured). We chose the cherry finish which is shown in the picture. Once the nursery is finished, we will post pictures here for sure!

Also, Joey officially starts a new school year this week! This is already his 4th year at Fairmont Private School in Anaheim teaching 4th grade and he loves it! As for me, I am sad that a new school year is starting and I don't have a classroom to call my own! I love teaching and I hope that something works out for me! If not, I will be substitute teaching and getting ready for baby!

First Trimester Screening

Joey and I went last Monday for our First Trimester Screening. They measured the nasal bone and nuchal translucency (back of the neck). Everything looked good! The ultrasound tech was great and spent some extra time showing us how nice the baby's head and skull looked, which made us give a huge sigh of relief based on our history.

We are so excited for our next ultrasound which is where they will measure bones and organs and also confirm the sex of the baby! We have already started looking at strollers and cribs and Joey is SUPER hands on for all of this! He has enjoyed test driving the strollers and we think we have found one that we like!

Tracy's Favorite Things

As many of my friends know, there are some products in my life that I am VERY passionate about using. For a long time, I wanted to start a blog called "Tracy's Favorite Things." At this point, I don't think I will have time to start a separate blog, but I figured I would start posting some of my favorites since I got this blog up and running. Besides products, I am also an amazing deal finder, so I will post good deals I find here too!

My very first favorite thing is something that I tell people is "life changing." Now I know you might be thinking that no skin care product could possibly be life changing, but I swear to you, your face will never be the same after this!!

Do yourself, and your skin, a favor and get the Microdelivery Peel by philosophy! It is a 2 step treatment that I like to do every Sunday night. I feel like it's a great way to get my skin ready for the week. You can do this peel in less than 5 minutes and the result will leave you amazed. Your skin will feel softer than you've felt it in a long time!

The best deal I have found on this product has been through QVC.com. It's a super size 4oz. set for $100. Here's the link: http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.A80163.desc.philosophy-super-size-2piece-vitamin-C-microdelivpeel

If you're not sure you will love it enought to spend $100 right now, it is also available in a 2oz. size through Sephora for $65. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P72504&categoryId=B70

I have convinced MANY people to use this product and they all say they can't live without it now! They all tried the small size and said, "Next time I am buying the jumbo QVC size!"

If you own it, or if you try it after reading this, please feel free to comment below! I'd love to hear what you think of it!!

Entering the blog world

So many people I know have their own blogs and I read them faithfully! I love to read about what they're up to, and I figured it was time to get started on a blog about Joey and I. I'm not 100% sure I'm doing any of this correctly, but here I go anyways.

I am looking forward to sharing Edmisten family news, especially about baby, with everyone!
