Ian: Month Two (June 2012)

We've had a busy 2nd month as a family of four!  Mostly, we keep busy trying to keep Zachary busy!  (Disneyland, Bounce Houses, Angels games, the park, etc.)  Ian is so great and just comes along for the ride!  He doesn't make much of a fuss and is content to just hang out and let his big brother get some of his energy out!

Ian has started sleeping through the night!  He sleeps from about 10pm-5am with no night feeding!  It's been great getting long stretches of sleep!

I broke out the farm animal play mat and let Ian check it out for a bit.
Of course Zachary had to get involved so I took their picture together!

It reminded me of a picture I had taken in the past......

 Zachary and Ian - 2012

 Samuel and Zachary - 2010

People tell us all the time that Sam and Zachary look like brothers!
Now I think Sam, Zachary, and Ian ALL three look like brothers!

We celebrated Father's Day at the Angels Game!
It was Ian's 1st Angels game!
He was 8 weeks old!

Our best family photo to date.........

It was a WHOLE new experience with two kids!

Ian has started smiling and melting hearts!
(He looks like such a little stinker!)

We are hoping those eyes stay blue!

During the 2 month photo shoot, Zachary wanted to peel off the sticker!

Happy TWO months Ian!

Ian: Month One (May 2012)

Of course I am WAY behind on blogging!  I am still adjusting to life with my two boys and just haven't found the time to write an update.  I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Happy 1st Month Ian!
We love you so much!

Ian had a bit of a health scare right around 4 weeks and ended up at Children's Hospital Orange County (CHOC) for 3 days!

He came down with a fever of 101.3 one night and I rushed him to the ER.  Because he was so young, they did a ton of tests and it ended up just being a viral infection that needed to run its course, but it was a very scary few days.  He also had a form of jaundice called Breast milk jaundice.  You can see from the last two pictures that his skin tone completely changed once he got healthy!)

He was poked so many times for all the tests they were running (including a spinal!) and he barely cried!

The staff at St. Joseph's Hospital and CHOC were fantastic!  CHOC really did a great job of making me comfortable too.  (Lots of snacks and even one free meal a day because I was a nursing mom!)

We are so lucky to have such a beautiful, healthy little boy!

A perfect fit!

Ian has been a part of our family for a little over two weeks and he is a perfect fit!  He's a great baby and a great little brother!  Zachary is enjoying his role as big brother and has adjusted SO well!

My c-section went smoothly and I am feeling great.  My recovery the first week was rough, but I had a lot of help and am feeling so much better now!

I'm much less stressed this time around and actually seem less tired then I remember with Zachary.  Zachary is still going to day care three days a week, so it's been nice to have some bonding time with just Ian and I.

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes, prayers, Facebook messages, text messages, and home cooked meals that were dropped off!  It's been a great two weeks as a family of four!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY IAN!

(It was so strange to walk into the OR and not be wheeled in on a bed!)

He came out with a strong, loud cry!

Almost the exact same stats as his big brother......... minus one ounce!
(They were even the same length!)

Welcome to our family!

This was the best family shot we could get at the hospital!
(Thanks Zachary!)

Super cozy after his bath!

Introducing Zachary to Ian for the first time!

He was so gentle!

Zachary already loved him!

Spending some time with Daddy as we get ready to head home!

3+1=4

Tomorrow is the big day where our family of three becomes a family of four! I will check in for my c-section at 10am and the actual procedure is scheduled for Noon. We are so excited to meet "the new guy!". He is already so loved! We have been trying to prepare Zachary for this day, but I don't think he gets it. He is still so little that I have a feeling he won't remember ever being an only child. I know he will be an amazing big brother! Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers! I will update the blog with pictures, stats, and his NAME as soon as possible!

Angels Spring Training 2012!

We were lucky enough to make a quick trip out to Arizona to see the Angels at Spring Training.  I wasn't sure about going because I was SUPER pregnant, but I am glad I made the journey.

It was our last trip as a family of 3!

He rested at the hotel while waiting for the elevator.

I think he just woke up from his nap!
(or was he grouchy that we were on the lawn....)

Family photo, minus Zachary, who was asleep in his stroller.

Enjoying his hot dog with Nana Edmisten

 Enjoying the game with Daddy.

He loved riding in the elevator at the hotel!

Finally!  A family photo!
I'm 34 weeks pregnant here!

Zachary Turns Two!

On March 10th Zachary turned TWO!  Time really has flown by and it has been an amazing two years!  Zachary is such an affectionate and independent little man.  He has so much to say about everything!  He loves Mickey Mouse, Toy Story, and trains.

We celebrated on the 10th with a Mickey Mouse themed party at his Nana and Papa Edmisten's house.  A great time was had by all!  Joey and I realized how lucky we are to have such an amazing group of friends and family that love Zachary so much!

The best family shot we could get!  He didn't want to hold still very long!

He enjoyed his cupcake!
Many Oreos were scraped for these cupcakes!
I think they turned out great!
(Thanks Pinterest!)

Thanks to Nana and Pop-Pop Bintliff for the Mickey Edible Arrangement!

 Chips and dip......Mickey style!

I used Etsy again for party printables!
I think the banner turned out GREAT!

This set of printables was a steal from the Photo Designz shop!

Zachary's Great Grandma and Great Aunt Patti stayed up late the night before working on these!

 Nana and Pop-Pop Bintliff

Thanks to Nana an Papa Edmisten for letting us use the house!

He rarely left the bounce house all day.........

but he was nice enough to help clean up!  ;)

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE IT A GREAT DAY!
