Zachary's 1st Birthday Party!

We were lucky enough to have gorgeous California weather last Sunday for Zachary's big party.
The party was held at an adorable little park in Tustin called Pioneer Road Park
Many of the Mommies and Daddies there commented about what a great park it was and how clean it was.
(It has a fun playground for all ages and a nice covered log cabin-looking area where the picnic tables are.)

I decided on a Western/Red Bandana Theme and I had a lot of fun searching for items to use for the party.
(Dollar Tree and Oriental Trading Company were awesome!)

Here are just a few shots of the decor:

My friend Heather made a perfect banner for the occasion!
(Check out her crafty skills at Paper Princess Studios!)

Heather also made the cute birthday hat to match everything!

I found these cupcake toppers on Etsy.com!
(I bought them from The Green Grass Grows shop)

I also ordered this shirt for Zachary from Etsy!
(It was from the Sew Seamingly Sassy shop!)

Zachary is lucky to have so many wonderful family and friends that shared in his 1st Birthday celebration!

As you can see, it really was a GREAT day!

Zachary and Sam took a ride before the guests arrived!

Nana Edmisten got him a real cowboy hat and some toy guns!

All of Zachary's cousins were there!

The slides at this park are huge!
Daddy took Zachary down the really big slide.......

and Mommy took him down the smaller slide!

He loved the cake and was very gentle with it at first.

Mommy showed him how to get past the frosting.

He could've sat there eating it for hours I think!

Such a special day for all of us!
(Thanks to Sara Cooper for taking such amazing pictures!)
Check out her photography blog My Life Behind the Camera!

Zachary wanted to share some cake with Pop-Pop!

He did share some with Joey's friend Pete!

He cleaned up nicely after the cake!

What a HAPPY, HAPPY day!

Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate Zachary's special day!

  2. Happy Late Birthday Zachary! You are so charming and cute! Loved this party theme. The party planning was on point. Each and everything is standing out. We also would be hosting our kid’s first birtdhay bash at some garden party venues in NYC and the theme that we have picked is Mickey Mouse.
